Sense of Place - 2727 Artist Co-Op Exhibition

Join the artists of the 2727 Artist Co-op as they celebrate the opening of “Sense of Place”, an exhibition which explores how we shape and are shaped by the spaces we inhabit, both physical and psychological. Our opening event is an opportunity to meet the artists and engage with their work – oh and don’t forget the wine and treats! Admission to the exhibition and all public events is free and open to all.

We have a special request for our audience: please bring a contribution to add to our altar celebrating and commemorating important places in our lives and shared histories. Your contribution could be a rock plucked from a special hike, a souvenir from a trip, a photograph of a family home, etc… Each memento is as unique as the space it comes from.

Live music John Zientek - rooted in classical technique and global guitar traditions, John Zientek's electric guitar playing blends fingerstyle textures, looping, and improvisation to create immersive, place-inspired soundscapes. Drawing on decades of experience as a performer, his music explores memory, landscape, and emotional resonance through spontaneous composition. This performance offers a dynamic, contemplative sonic complement to the gallery’s “Sense of Place” theme.
