Multi-Use Events & Program Space
The California Street Multi-Use Space is a beautiful high-ceilinged, atrium-style room for programs, events, performances and assembly – featuring a movie theater, sprung dance floor, rehearsal theater, professional quality lighting and sound, a print studio and teaching space. This is a public use space, analogous to a “library”, that provides resources for artists.
This space also hosts the 2727 Artist Co-op - a cooperative art gallery run by the member artists with support from the Foundation, for display, consignment and sale of the artist members’ work (see Artist Co-op page for details). The 2727 Artist Co-op exhibits every quarter.
The Multi-Use Event and Program Space will be available mostly on non-exhibition months - for community assembly, readings, dance, film shows, workshops, music, theater rehearsal and shows, meetings and performances. These may include pop-ups, film festivals, musical events, club meetings, rehearsals and other uses by artists and the general public. The Multi-Use Space will be available to the public and as a venue, alternating with and coordinated with 2727 Artist Co-op use, on a rotating basis (see Programs page for more details).
*The space is also available for private usage. Please reach out to programs@2727.today and provide details regarding your request.
