Sonic Cartographies is an evolving performance series that began in the Bay Area and has expanded to unfold simultaneously in Istanbul, Berlin, and Strasbourg. Initiated by Eda Er, the series creates a shared platform for dialogue and collaboration across geographies. Sonic Cartographies III continues the practice of mapping sonic territories through solos, duos, trios, quartets, and tutti improvisations. The program highlights balance, dialogue, and shifting performer constellations — weaving individual voices into a shared sonic landscape. In the Bay Area, the series is curated by Max Abner, reflecting the region’s experimental spirit and collaborative ethos.
