In 2012 two Berkeley locals, Armando Davila and Dante Kaleo met in West Berkeley at a produce stand. While Dante sold Armando fruit instrumental beats played in the background. A rap cypher soon followed; the rest is history. In 2022 Dante and Armando reunited to create the Hip-Hop duo, Chosen Fam. After 3 years of long nights, countless sessions and a neverending process of mixing and mastering, Chosen Fam's project, Suns of the Apocalypse, has come to fruition.

"Suns of the Apocalypse" (SOTA) expresses the current state of the world, offering a release for frustrations with the political climate. SOTA reflects discussions taking place on a sinking ship, suggesting action instead of getting lost in the despair of perilous inevitabilities.
